Hello my name Is Elizabeth and at age 14 i found out that i had Avascular Necrosis.... i have had two surgerys from my doctor to try and hold off the replacement since I'm so young. but all it has done is made my leg and other parts of my body worse. ... I have a bone spur that has formed on my ball of the hip, and keeps coming back after my sergurys. My hip has fallen apart ... It's like a square with in a round socket... my leg is an 1 inch shorter and now i suffer back pain.. I'm writing this letter because I'm trying to find out all the different types of Hip replacements out there... I went to one doctor that told me about metal against metal.. insted of plastic.. they are afraid my Hip socket will wear out way to soon then it should... I dont know what to do. I'm so young and none of the docters have ever had a case like mine! Can anyone help me? I cant even sit in a chair anymore with out having pain thoughtout my intire body.. I cant even go to school anymore.. If i have the Hip replacement will I be normal again? Please E-mail me at Liz148 if you would like to know more about my history...
