I am also 33 years old and am scheduled for a THR in july 2000. My problem is called Legg Perthes. I was diagnose at age 16 and have had pain since I can remember. I did have surgery about 12 years ago. But now the past few years the pain is becoming unbearable some days. Most nights I wake up because of the pain. Not fun. That is why I finally am having something done about it. I'm scared to have it done but the thought of having no pain is great. What is the problem with your hip? How long have you had pain?
