A few months ago I found out that I have avascular necrosis (the adult version of leg perthes) of both my hips. My doctor says it started when I was pregnant with my second child. I, too, feel the loss of time spent with my children, now 3 and 20 months. I was at my sister's over the holidays and she can play on the floor as long as she wants to, while I am limited to about 15min before severe pain sets in. I don't think I'm ready for a hip replacement yet, but I won't make it until I'm sixty either. how do you know when to go ahead. The doctors say wait, wait, wait, but I'm missing out on some fun times with my kids that i won't ever be able to get back. Also, we are considering a third child. Any thoughts?
