I was diagnosed with avn of the left hip in 1990 caused by an auto accident in 1981. The pain has become progressively worse in the last two years and I find myself taking pain killers more frequently. The pain has begun to spread to my thigh, knee, groin and especially the lower back! My doc still keeps telling me that at 40, I'm too young. I'm still working, but it is becoming more difficult. I'm in my tenth year since my initial diagnosis and any advice from those who have been there would be appreciated.
