Just a few weeks away from becoming a "new man." I would wholeheartedly agree with them, as I'm 5 weeks post-op, and I'm a "new woman."
If you read the article on this web page about what to expect during surgery, etc, you will find it a great help. I found everything that was stated was exactly what happened.
I hope you can read this, as the line just keeps going and going--I've never experienced this before. Suffice it to say, I have an "uncemented hip, with a ceramic ball," and I've been putting weight on it since a few days after the surgery, and now, instead of a walker, I'm using just one crutch. I am in NO pain--haven't taken any meds since my return from a few weeks at a rehab center.
This is truly a miracle, and I'm not sure I ever believed in them before. Write if you like--and I'll answer any questions you may have.
