My mother had her hip replaced about 8 weeks ago. Her doctor tells her that she will never be able to bend 90 degrees (bend over, pull on stockings, load dishwasher) for fear of dislocating that hip! Is it true that the 90 degree rule is forever? How common is dislocation really? Thanks.
