I am sure you will feel fine following the op. I know I do - my last day at work was Valentine's day last year so your subject heading struck a chord. I have much more mobility now and the best thing of all - NO PAIN. Go for it.
I do not know what the system is where you live for getting what we call home helps or carers. You would need to ask around about that. I was ok at about three weeks.
