Hey, I understand your concerns totally. Mid year 1996 I was suffering form AVN (suddenly w/o any warning).Core decompression was a failure. I was in so much pain that nothing seemed to help. I had right THR and two weeks later the left went out completely. I live alone , was 47 years old and in good health otherwise. I had the first in July and the second in Sep of the same year. There was pain and learning curves for what you can do and not do. However, I am back at work in sales. demoing auto paint process, bending, stooping required (running if the customer isn't happy!) and it's okay. Everyday is not pain free, but the alternative of stopping living a mostly normal life was not attractive either. You'll do great. Remember when so many other surgeries were also considered so serious, and now they want you ladies to even have babies as out patients. With the pain you have been suffering, THR will be deliverance for you. Drop me a line at my e-mail and let me know how you do. Nobody else can understand how you feel unless they have faced something very similar, Good Luck, Joe
