There is a lot of information on bone grafts at the website "Ask Bonebrain", which is at this address: http://members.aol.com/msmorro/science/index.htm They talk about taking bone from the fibula in your lower leg and transplanting it into your hip. I don't know if this is a possibility for you because of the dermatomyositis - ask your doctor or the person on the bonebrain site. There are also a lot of links at the very bottom of that page.
