My name is Frank Lupashunski and I am a 74 yearold, and an avid golfer that is facing a THR. However the surgeon is reluctant to opperate because I am susceptable to staph infection. Could anyone out there give me any information about haveing a hip replacement that resulted in a staph infection and how it was treated. I need some assurrance that this proublem can be dealt with when faceing staph infection. I would appreaciate hearing from anyone that has had this expirence
