I am 29 years old and was just informed that I will need a left hip replacement soon with the right to follow. I was told this about 6 years ago too but was told to wait until I just can't stand it. Everyone seems to think that I should be in more pain than I think I'm in. How do you know exactly how much pain you're in when you've lived with it your whole life? I don't take pain relievers everyday and I'm only in real pain when I over do it. I would also like more information on the metal/metal prosthesis as well as having both hips replaced at the same time.
