Dear Linda, That is fantastic! I am 44 and was just diagnosed last week. The Dr. is surprised I'm still walking around, but says the hip will have to be replaced. I was wondering about exercise. I stopped yoga, because the leg pulls and stretching were bothering me; and I stopped going to the gym because I was afraid. I was curious about weight lifting and cycling. I'll ask the Dr. about cycling. You don't know how glad I am to read your article. To walk forty minutes after nineteen days of surgery is phenomenal to me. I can't wait to take an hours walk again, it's been months. I just came from a class on hip replacement, and so many things are going through my mind about the recovery process. Thank you for posting your message, God Bless. Denise
