I will be having a THR on April 20, 2000. I have been having right hip pain for 3 years and dr's just kept sending me around and around from this one to that one. Finally I found one that would help and do the surgery. All others said I was too young!!! But when you have to go to work in a wheel chair every day,something is wrong with that picture??? I am very frightened of the surgery, not the pain afterward's. There is so much that can go wrong, but after reading everyone's stories it renewed my faith that I will recover and be back to my old self very soon. I will be home sunday if all goes well and will give an update asap. Good luck to all others who are in the same boat. Grab on to those oars and don't let go!!! ROW ROW ROW!!! Vivian
