Hello Vivian,

Was just reading thru the posts and saw yours. Yep..I know exactly what you're going thru. That first night in the hospital, as I lay there racked with post-op pain, I was in tears regretting my decision and fighting the urge to call the nurse and tell her I wanted my OLD rotten hip joint back. One of my friends who's also had a hip replacement went thru the same thing. I think what you're going thru right now is a combination of exhaustion and pain. Not to fear...

Your fatigue is very normal, and I hope you're being good to yourself and dozing whenever you can. Please believe me when I tell you, everyday you'll feel better and better! Everyday you'll get a little stronger and the pain will be a little less. You WILL be pleased within the next couple of months.

And, once you get those staples out your incision will feel a gazillion percent better. It's hard to be tired, in pain AND have an itchy incision

Hope it gets alot better for you!
