Hi Marty, I am a 41 year old man who has OA in the right hip. My doctor told me as well to hold off but I am tired of limping and having the sharp pains and not being able to put on my sock and shoe easily. I was very athletic until 2 years ago and so I am pretty depressed. Ive made up my mind to have the surgery if not by my doctor then another. Good luck and let me know how you are doing.
