I also just found out last week that my only treatment for the damage to my hip was hip replacement. My mobility is not so limited at this point but I do have a lot of difficulty sleeping because of discomfort. I too was completely wiped out at the thought of the extremes I will have to go to now to bring myself back to feeling right and being able to do things like before (one year ago I could do an hour on the treadmill w/o problems). Things that I love doing, I'm sure you can relate. I have another doctor's appt in a few weeks to get more answers about the future, so I really have no info for you on that, but I wanted to let you know I understand what you are feeling. I have learned the hard way, make sure you have an excellent doctor and do research so you will know when things sound right to you about your own treatment. I have read many fantastic stories about how amazing life can be after the surgery, so hang on to that thought. Take Care!
