Hello John,

I, too, suffered from terrible referral pain in my left leg for the past 7 yrs. It was mainly concentrated in my knee, but would crash down my leg and shoot out the top of my foot and out the side of my ankle. I was on antidepressants to help deal with the pain. No..you're not bonkers, but dealing with that type of constant pain is a terrible depressant. It got to the point I could hardly walk, and chose not to. Spent alot of my time in the recliner, or in bed watching TV. Had a THR in March and am feeling absolutely wonderful!! It took a couple weeks for the pain to completely stop, but it was dramatically diminished within a week of the surgery. Hang in there!!!
