After suffering with AVN for 2 years I finally had total hip replacement of my right hip on May 18, 2000. I was discaharged only 4 days after the surgery and I am beginning to receive home health care and theraphy. I can see that it is going to be a long slow recovery. I experiencing discomfort, swelling, not being able to sleep, and having to adjust with going to bathroom in a bottle or sitting on a highchair. My biggest concern is that my other hip will not act up any time soon. I will be 50 years olds in just 10 days and hope that in a year from now I will be totally recovered fron both surgerys....
