Just wondering if anyone out there has survived a Ganz osteotomy and lived to tell about it! I have right hip dysplasia; it was fixed temporarily when I was an infant, but in recent years has gotten progressively worse. Some docs have told me to live with the pain and take anti-inflammatories until I need THR, and then some have told me to get this osteotomy because I'm a perfect candidate and the results would be better now than later. So do I live in pain for a couple of years and then get a THR, only to have it revised before I'm 40, and possibly again and again, or do I get the osteotomy and chance that it might not work and I'll need a THR right away? It seems like there are so few choices, and none of them are so great. Anyone have advice?

P.S. I'm a newlywed with no kids yet, but would like to have a couple someday.
