Not to worry! I had an osteotomy Jan. '99. I took 10 weeks off work to recuperate, because I do a lot of walking on my job. Of course you will have a large incision (mine was 10 in.!), but I made a fast recovery. I had PVNS in my hip joint, I now have arthritis in there. Someday I will have a replacement, but hopefully not for a long time. I had complete faith in my Dr. though. Good luck to you, you are young and will heal fast! I was 35 and healed right away too!
