Dear Kathy Been there done that got the tee shirt. well i didn't have surgery. my hip dislocation was discovered when I was 15 months old. did not have surgery but they did cast me full body cast for a good while. my hip has deteriorated over the years to the point of walking with a cane pain overwhelming and my activities non existent. hey i'm to young for this. i've have sacrificed and tolerated pain for 48 years. now it is time. i'm scheduled for surgery july 13 at 9 am sharp and i can't wait. my motto is pain free and be positive. i plan on rocking and rolling come the end of august. when i read this bb and hear the horror and painful stories i'm the lucky one. i did what the doctors told me in the past wait as long as you can and do whatever you can. i have had two opinons and i'm getting a ceramic on cercamic like i said can't wait. i can do this so can you. pray and be positive and you will make the right decision.
