Hi Kathy, I found out I had CDH in 1963, had all the prehistoric surgeries and I finally found a DR. who put a new hip with alot of reconstructive pelvic surgery from waiting to long in 1995. I have had two revisions since and know I have two broken del mile wires that need to be taken out. Do I regret it? well you trade arthritic pain for barometric pain but over all I do not regret it. I have full range of motion for the first time in 37 years, but I can not run. Please do not try lifting or over doing it after the surgey. Let me know how it goes or if you have any more questions. Been there and done that with the THR.
