Diagnosed with AVN 2 months ago, one ortho doctor says core decompression, the other total hip replacement. With to see surgeon today that is in partnership with the second opinion doctor. Says my femoral heads are intact, but I have several bone cysts which he pointed though you could clearly see on the MRI. Does not want to do anything because I have MS. Told him pain is horrific and in sitting with him today had not been to bed yet, up all night with pain and spasms in the hip joints. Clear indication from him I received was because I have MS he's shying away from surgery because I have difficulty walking anyway. My question is to anyone out there who has MS have you had a total hip done? To anyone else who doesn't have MS what should I do ? Get a third opinion? I'm just really scared all of a sudden the femoral heads will collaspe and then I'll be in big trouble. I'm just tired of pain and dull aches, hip and groin pain and that in itself interferes with me trying to walk the best I can already.
