I'm 41, drank for 27 years and had a core decompression of the right hip (stage 3)AVN and will be having the left hip (stage 1) done in september. After looking at the X-Ray, the first word from the doctor was "Do you have a problem with Alcohol.. I had just entered the rooms of AA 2 weeks before that... To me a gift from God to remind me everyday that I am an alcoholic, and not to doubt that fact.. I'm doing OK still a little stiff, but beats the pain of walkin on a cracked hip for 3 months... Usually too concerned with my drinking then wasting the time going to the doctor. I would be happy to corrisond with you anytime.
