Hi Stan, I am a 48 yrs old female and 3 months post op for THR. I had a excellent Dr., did my research on the operation. I walked out of the hospital w/less pain then going in. I was in the hospital a total of 2 days. Ask your Dr. about the marcane pack after surgery. It is an I.V attached to side of the operated leg and contains novacane , therefore NO pain as the area is numb. It was the greatest . I did PT, less then 24 hrs after surgery.
