My grandaughter was born with left side Hip Displasia. We detected it early as her mother, my daughter also had it the same way. She had late but a successful Pawlik-harness treatment (6-11 months). Unfortunately, it failed my grandaughter, born May 31, 1999, after a 5-week treatment (I thought it was too short...) at 3-4 mts. Now we are facing Open Reduction surgery at 18 mts of age. I would like to hear from all of you who, or whose child, had this procedure some time ago what to expect, how successful it was, any complications you had, and any long-term experiences you can share. Thank you. E-mail: cnemeth@home.com
