My 34 year old husband is in the hospital recovering from THR due to prednisone related AVN. He was on prednisone in 1993 and after 3 months he began experiencing hip pain. 7 years later his hip was completely destroyed by AVN. He had not been told of the risk of AVN by prednisone use.
