I had my left hip replaced on Sept. 27,2000. I had my right hip don in June of 1993. Both hips are doing well. I am a letter carrier for the USPS and have been for 30 years. I also surf and ride bikes. I have no regrets at all for the surgery. I have not been on ski's since the first hip and I miss the snow.....but..not the pain. I also don't recommend any sports that involve pivoting (basketball etc.) Good luck to all.....Mike
