Hi Jane, From my experience, you'll be able to do most everything you did prior to surgery. Initially you do have to let things heal, but it will all return to normal before you know it. Your doctor should give you a regement of exercises to do after the procedure, & as time goes by, he will give you more & more that you can do to strenghen muscles, etc. By 3 months I was riding a stationary bike & swimming. I'm past 6 months now & do virtually everything I did prior to surgery...Keep the faith & good luck. (^_^) Pres....
