I had a total hip replacement about 5 years ago. Recently i experienced partial dislocation. When the doctor went in to replace the ball and cup, he found corrosion between the ball and the stem. He then had to remove the stem. The bone had grown into it real solid, so it was quite an operation. The ball and stem were made by Howmedica Corp. Has anyone heard of this happening to others?
