Sandy,

Ask you ortho Dr. if there is any surgery that can be done that will repair the hip instead of having to have a total hip replacement done. My bilateral hip dysplasia was not discovered until I was 22 and I was able to have iliac osteotomy (repairs the the bones) done and everything put together with bone grafting. It held up to give me 25 yrs before I needed total hip replacements. Check the discussion board and find out all the other options you may have. Good luck, Mavis
