Sounds to me like it is just muscle pain from awakening old muscles that haven't been used in a while. You made no reference to your age. Ice should help too. You also could rotate it with heat at this time as long as you aren't having any swelling. I did see my doctor again today and although he is concerned and perplexed he did reassure me that my stem was hammered in and shouldn't be a problem. The pain is better at the time of this writing but it was very tender to weight bear when I got out of bed this morning. Keep up with your walking and exercise. Five months seems like a long time but I believe it will take a year to fully heal from this traumatic operation. My first thr anniverssary is November 17 and I am super pleased with the results.
