Hi Jeff. If you know anyone in the local medical community, ask THEM what doctor they would choose. I did and I'm so happy with the doctor, my new hip and the entire procedure. I've had my new left hip for almost a year and it's absolutely wonderful how great I feel. My orthopod told me my hip will last indefinitely as it's the new metal-on-metal implant by Sulzer. And, if it lasts for 15 to 20 yrs, I'll just go in and have another done!! In the year preceeding the replacement, my life had been reduced to Vicodin and crippling pain, and no activity whatsoever! And, now I'm back to full speed..shopping...horsing around..walking thru the woods! By the way, I was 47 when I had it done. Good Luck to you!!!
