Diagnosed with AVN Nov,99 after much pain of left hip for 2months, got MRI and 2nd opinion, had core decompression and bone graft of left hip Jan-00 and it did not take, somedays it feels pretty good but most I have pain and can hardly walk, am taking Vioxx but it seems to do little good am seriously thinking of THR because of the pain and the limp and not being able to do things like bikeing, the only reason I have not done it after my Dr. Gave up on the graft Nov00, is that I was laid up for so long and on crutches. I am scared and really want this to work and to be pain free for a good many years. I have it in my right but it does not hurt yet. My Dr. said I was in the early stages.
