Heather, Sorry that I took so long to answer your questions but I honestly forgot to check this part of the web site. I have included my emailing address in case you want to talk one on one. I will be 3 weeks post-op tomorrow and it's absolutely amazing how fast I am recuperating. I actually stood at the stove yesterday and made supper. I was tired afterwards but I think that is a major improvement. I can get in and out of the tub by myself but I have a bath seat and I have to be very carefull. I was in the hospital for one week and then I was basically alone at about 2 weeks post-op. I don't know about having small children around because I don't have any but I would wager that with your mom and husband there you should be ok.
