Not much to say Dave except "Get it done". I have had two hips in the last 5 years and am 33 years old. I really struggled the last year or so with a lot of pain and virtually no movement. The recovery this time around was great. I was hitting golf balls (drives that is) again at 5 weeks and played a full round at 12 weeks, which was last weekend (would have been sooner but for the bad weather). I wouldn't trivialise the whole process of the op and the recovery but this time around I reckon the 6 weeks of recuperation were equivalent to the average leg break. The question you'll have to answer is do you remember life before hip problems and do you want it back again. My problem was that I actally couldn't remember much about life before the ten years of pain I endured. I am now 3 months down the line and every day is an absolute joy (even in freezing cold Scotland). I would recommend it to anyone and I know I'll have to go through it more than once in my lifetime.... but so what! I really believe the time out to recover is well worth it. I hooe you are back burning the course up soon.
