My doctor says "Have the THR when you are not satisfied with your quality of life due to your hip". Well, quality of life is relative. If I have the surgery and the results are not good I'm going to wish I had my old hip back. My hip problem causes reduced range of motion - hard to put my sock and shoe on. I sleep good at night (no pain). I can only walk about 7 holes of golf before the hip gets inflamed. I take anti-inflamation medication - seems to be working fine.
How much of a cripple do you have to be before you say to yourself " Any surgery results will be better than what I am putting up with now". Thanx for your reply------Dave
