Did you say that you have congential hip displaysia? Couldn't tell from your post if you definitely did. If you do, let me know. I also have CDH and have a surgeon that does a type of surgery that helps to either alleviate or postpone the need for THR. It's called a periacetabular osteotomy. It may be the answer your looking for.
