My doctor in Boston is Dr. Michael Millis at Children's hospital. I found out about him from my OS, who kept telling me when I went to visit him that "I wasn't that bad off" and that I just needed to stick it out until I was older. Finally after hounding him so much he sent me to Dr. Millis. I had to send him x-rays to look at before he would even see me, but once I finally got in there it was a miracle. Said I was too young to be in that kind of pain (I was 27 at the time) and that he thought he could fix my hip without doing THR. I've had good results with my left hip (which was the worse one) and am going in for the next surgery in 3 weeks. I know that people from all over the country come to Boston to see him, so I feel very forntunate to be nearby. Hopefully, you can see him soon for a second opinion. I would definitely do it before you go in for the other surgery. It made me laugh when you mentioned the waddle. I had it too, and it was really bad when I was pregnant. Let me know if you have any more questions. Good luck.
