I was diagnosed with Legg Perthese in 1963. Treatment was waling on a brace for the next 3 years. I'm 45, and so far have had no problems associated.
After hearing my own son, age 7, complain about pain in his leg, I was instantly suspicious. Just returned with the MRI results(they didn't have MRI in 63!) and a positive diagnosis, stage 2 Legg perthese in his right hip.
Next week we see the specialist at Children's Hospital in Seattle. I wonder what improvements have been made in treatments since the 60s.
