I am 39yo and on 30 April 2001 underwent bilateral Birmingham hip replacement. I fell fantactic - all the pain has gone and I was out of bed 2 days post surgery. I spent 10 days in hospital and was then able to go home providing had someone at home to assist. I still wear TED stockings (1/5 weeks to go), but have not required a pain killer since week3 post surgery. Please let me know if you want any furhte information, I'd be happy to share it with you.
