Hi. I am also recovering from a PAO done March 16th in Boston. I have bilateral CDH. This is my second, the first one done 6 years ago with the screws coming out last year. I'm almost 3 months post op and on just one crutch. I'm almost starting to feel normal now, but can tell when I've done too much. Should be off of crutches completely by the end of the month. This time around was a lot less painful. Not sure if he's perfecting his procedure or if I had been through it before and knew what to expect, but I was off of pain meds after a week. The one I had done 6 years ago is holding up great. I'm hoping it will last forever. We'll see. I feel so forunate to have found a surgeon that could fix me now instead of having to wait for a THR when I was older. I'm now 33. Good luck with your recovery. Do you have to do the other side? Take care.
