I am now 2 weeks post-op from periacetabular osteotomy. I just had my staples removed yesterday, all 36 of them...OUCH!! Pain meds were a big concern for me as I don't like taking anything that interferes with my mind. They had me on oxycodone when I got home from the hospital but I couldn't stand being on them. I lasted about 6 dyas before I went back to Ultram, the pain med I was on prior to surgery. So, I am no weight bearing on the operated side for 6 more weeks and then to 1/2 weight bearing. What is 1/2 weight bearing? I just can't picture how to do that.
