Hi, My name is Kate and I had a Birmingham Hip Resurfacing operation 3 weeks ago. For years I put up with the pain of Osteoarthritis, believing that I would have to do so till I was much, much older. A friend then introduced me to this procedure which was very positive due to the fact that 'if' or possibly 'when' this prosthesis wears out, I can then have a 'normal' hip replacement in the future. So far I am so positive with the results of this operation. I really experienced 'no' pain during the recovery in hospital and continue to do so, during my recovery at home. I now have got rid of my arthritis pain and my operated leg is much more flexible than was before. I am so happy that I had this operation and would recommend it to any other person who may be interested. If any one needs any information or has any interesting info for myself, please e-mail me at gonkybare@hotmail.com.au Thanks, Kate.
