I will be having my revision surgery in about a month (Sep). Wondering if anyone else on this group has had Sulzer Hip Revision surgery due to its recall? Learning that in some cases depending on the degree of bone destruction that "bone grafts" are required. Has anyone experienced this situation? Could anyone provide information as to the similarity or differences between initial THR and the Revision Surgery? How have you faired in your recovery. I am extremely nervous and depressed wondering if I will achieve at least the same degree of what I gained in the original surgery (only got to about 70% recovery of what surgeon expected). What complications has anyone experienced? What about the physical therapy differences? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Please send to either LenDuff@aol.com or duffy@jwfc.jfcom.mil addresses!

Thanks in Advacne for your efforts and sharing
