Yes Perry, I live in Orange NSW, and I'm all ears ! I know this Birmingham replacement has been covered before, but I would be interested to know more about it. My surgeon recomended the ceramic one because of my age (48) as it should last for 30 odd years (according to lab tests). I'm very new at all this hip replacement thing, so any advice will be much appreciated. I have started taking some glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate tablets to perhaps ease the pain and hopefully prolong the op, as I am in no hurry whatsoever to get a new one. I guess when I can no longer stand the pain, that will be the time to have it done. Many thanks ...... Mick.
