Getting back to you on the range of motion and weight-bearing. My range of motion was pretty impaired as well. With time and exercise it is getting better. I have ways of putting socks on and tying shoelaces that take a little effort since I am afraid to cross my leg over the other to do this. On the weight-bearing question, it also takes time I am afraid. I know it's hard to cope with the crutches sometimes but just follow your doctor's orders since only he knows his surgical technique and what to expect. I had similar weight-bearing limitations. I only started to walk at home without a cane on August 7th, 4 months post-op. The bones take time to heal and there's nothing to do but wait and do the best you can within the limitations the doctor sets. I hope this helps, if you have other questions feel free to post me a note.
