I was born with congenital hip dysplasia. I have had 7 surgeries,braces, traction, and a body cast also. I have also been told my only hip is THR, and I am looking into this option. I totally understand where you are coming from. I think its the anger I feel with myself that is the hardest to handle. I get very upset at not being able to do everything I used to. The depression gets to me from time to time also. Fortunately, I have a great family who totally supports me.
