Had LTHR May l6, femur was fractured at that time, wire wrapped around bone, all healed in four mos. Day of last appmt with os another fracture appeared just barely above the wire. Have been on walker six weeks now & fracture has gotten worse by pulling apart. Top part of bone has moved up wards. Dr. still wantes me on walker andwill check me every two weeks...he hopes scar tissue will fill this gap. However, scar tissue does not show up on xray. NOW my greatest fear or question is ...does scar tissue become just as strong as bone? OS has never seen this problem before and now I wonder if he really knows what to do for me. I live in Florida. Maybe second opinion??? I feel even if scar tissue fills the gap Still the fracture will have not been correctly fixed. Please write me with any info possible. Thanks
