In October of 2000, I had a RTHR and three months after surgery found out the cup was loose. I had to defer revision surgery due to a serious medical problem my wife has which required my care and which also negated her being able to care for my needs while recovering. Now, one year later xrays showed the bone was starting to grow into the cup meaning my body apparently started absorbing the oil. I still can't walk without a cane. Trying to bear full weight on the effected side is still like trying to stand on a wet noodle, but at least the pain is manageable. My surgeon was unable to offer an explanation as to why the muscles have/are not developing especially since I've been exercising diligently. I talked with my attorney about the situation and he said I still have a valid claim against Sulzer. So, will wait and see what happens.
